The Drifting Journey on the Sea (Part Four)

Hello, let's talk about swimming and fitness?#

This is the phrase I've been saying the most in the past week. I gave up my job as a telephone customer service representative because there were too many restrictions and the reality was very different from what they described. (The most important thing is that I can't cook with a small electric cooker, otherwise all the ingredients I bought would be wasted)

Now I work at a gym as a salesperson. My current job is to bring potential customers into the store, which is a bit challenging for someone like me who is slightly introverted. I've been working for a week and haven't made a single sale.

The base salary for this job is relatively low, only 2500. If I want to earn more money, I have to rely on commissions. I also get free accommodation in a residential area, so I have more freedom and can finally cook with a small electric cooker. :@(applause)

After working as a salesperson at the gym for a few days, I actually gained a lot of insights. Although the job goal is simple, which is to bring customers to the store, it is still very difficult to accomplish. Many customers pass by this area frequently and have been asked countless times. When they pass by, they intentionally turn their heads to reject me, and some even ignore what I say to them. At first, it was okay, but soon my enthusiasm faded and I became a bit introverted, not wanting to ask anymore.

Later, during a meeting, the manager mentioned that we should treat this job as a game, as a form of equal communication or even flirting, trying to gain the trust and favor of strangers. This job became interesting. After that, I started paying attention to my tone, facial expressions, and actions when communicating with others. I realized that it's not that difficult after all. Although I still haven't made a sale, some of the people who used to ignore me when passing by now greet me proactively, which makes me feel that this job is gradually becoming meaningful. My ability to communicate with others has improved significantly. :@(flower)

One-day Tour in the City Center#

At the beginning of the month, the manager arranged for a day off, and I went out with Xiaofang. We originally planned to go to the Natural History Museum, but we didn't manage our time well and arrived after the museum had closed. :@(crying)

Fortunately, there are still many interesting places to visit in this area. We went to People's Park, where there were a bunch of elderly people standing at the entrance. Upon closer inspection, we realized that this was a matchmaking corner. It was the first time I saw such a scene, with various adults sitting or standing by the roadside, displaying their personal information on waterproof sheets, like setting up a stall. Apart from this, it seems that there is nothing else interesting in People's Park.

After visiting People's Park, we were about to go to the surrounding buildings when Xiaofang called me to a nearby store, which I heard was the most high-end one in the city, a one-megawatt Wade store. On the way there, we heard the sound of a music festival and got interested, so we went to listen to it. We stayed until it was dark. The lead singer of one of the bands was amazing. Because there was a sofa in front of the stage, it was the first time I experienced a concert at such a close distance. It was fulfilling. :@(excited)

In the evening, we went to the Bund. Wow, there were unexpectedly so many people there. I'm sorry, I underestimated the people of Shanghai...

The facilities here are really great. If I could work here in the future, it would be so comfortable! (☆ω☆)
